The cruise line tries to make their crew members as comfortable as possible. There will be a mini-store where crew members can rent movies and purchase snacks. Most crew areas will have a computer room, table tennis, a pool table and a crew gym. Depending on your position, you may be able to work out in the passenger gym. Most ships will have an outside area where only crew can hang out. On larger ships, it is possible that the crew will have their own swimming pool.
A crew bar is available on all ships and is considered a place for relaxation and socialization with your fellow crew members. In the crew lounge, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages can be purchased for much less than what the passengers pay in the ship’s lounges.
