Accommodation

Ship cabins are cozy so you many want to pack on the light side. You will likely share a cabin with two (or possibly more) people. In your cabin you find bunk beds, a dresser or desk, a small closet and a bathroom. A curtain around your bunk bed will allow for some privacy and uninterrupted sleep if you are on a rotation schedule. Decorating your cabin as you would your bedroom at home will make you feel more comfortable. Very few ships have televisions, DVD/VCR’s or refrigerators in their crew cabins. Sometimes crew members signing off will sell these items to fellow ship-mates for next to nothing. If your ship sails to foreign ports, often these appliances and electronics can be purchased inexpensively.

Here are some photos of crew cabins.  In such cramped quarters, it’s sometimes hard to be tidy!
